Big Local Learning Programme
Big Local invested £217 million in 150 neighbourhoods across England over more than a decade. It backed communities to lead change on their own terms, and now, as the programme concludes, there is a wealth of learning about what that actually looked like: the governance structures, the conflicts, the breakthroughs, the legacies.
About the programme
The West Midlands Big Local Legacy Learning Programme is a series of five events bringing together funders, practitioners, local authorities, community organisations, and anyone working at the intersection of place and neighbourhood change.
Each session draws directly on the experiences of Big Local areas across our region, with the people who lived and led that work at the centre.
The programme is free to attend and runs from June to October 2026, culminating in WMFN's Annual Conference.
It is delivered by West Midlands Funders Network and Heart of England Community Foundation, in partnership with Local Trust.
